Parents

An essential part of the vision of Saint John Baptist de la Salle was that each school form a community in which people would be deeply aware of having responsibility for each other. This is true for faculty, students and parents at La Salle High School. Together, we build that healthy and warm atmosphere which is so essential for the success of the School and our young people.

Whether by taking an active part in Academic Boosters, Arts Boosters, or Athletics Boosters – volunteering to complete service hours or providing additional financial support – parents and grandparents also help to build the School environment that leads to that success.
These pages provide the information you need to be part of this vibrant community, ranging from the New Parent Guide to the Student-Parent Handbookto the Parent Newsletter and more.

Re-Enrollment

Re-Enrollment for the 2024-2025 School Year – February 6, 2024

Dear La Salle Families,

As we begin our planning for the upcoming school year, we’d like to share a few important updates with you regarding our process for re-enrolling your student for the 2024-2025 school year.

Message from the Board of Trustees and Tuition Information for the 2024-2025 School Year

Below, you’ll find an important message from the chair of our Board of Trustees, Dr. Stephanie Paggi. Dr. Paggi’s message also includes important information regarding the tuition set by the Board of Trustees for the upcoming school year. Please click here to read Dr. Paggi’s message.

SchoolAdmin/Finalsite Re-Enrollment Process

Later today, you’ll be receiving a separate email from SchoolAdmin/Finalsite indicating your enrollment portal is open. Our SchoolAdmin/Finalsite Admissions and Enrollment Portal will be used to complete your re-enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year. After logging in, you’ll have an opportunity to review your enrollment contract, along with any applicable financial aid and scholarship awards, and submit your $500 registration fee. More information regarding this process can be found on our 2024-2025 Re-Enrollment Checklist and FAQ. We ask that you please complete the re-enrollment process by Tuesday, February 20, 2024, to secure your child’s spot for the upcoming school year.

Note that your student’s course selection preferences and student schedules will be held until their re-enrollment is complete. Families with an outstanding tuition balance will also not receive a class schedule until they make arrangements with the Finance Office.

New Dewar Tuition Refund Insurance Option

This year, we have partnered with Dewar Inc., the country’s leading tuition insurance agency, to offer an optional tuition refund plan (TRP) for all La Salle College Preparatory families. This plan will protect your tuition obligation to La Salle in the event of a student withdrawal for medical and non-medical reasons. The specific La Salle terms and conditions are outlined in your enrollment contract, as well as instructions on how to opt-out of this optional coverage. Please click here to view the TRP overview to learn more about this coverage and the protection it can provide in the event of withdrawal from La Salle.

Blackbaud Tuition Management Portal

We will continue to use our Blackbaud Tuition Management portal for student tuition billing. All returning families will be rolled over to the 2024-2025 school year within the system. In March, you will have an opportunity to review your tuition payment information. You can also review ourBlackbaud Tuition Management FAQ for more information.

Updated Course Selection Process

The course catalog for the 2024-2025 school year has been uploaded to our school website. Please click here to view the course catalog. The Counseling Department will be hosting a Course Selection Presentation Meeting on Wednesday, February 21st, at 6:00 PM in the Dining Hall to share more information about the course selection process. All families are welcome to join us for this informational meeting.

To ensure we have the proper resources necessary to support your child at La Salle, families will need to complete the re-enrollment process before course preferences are inputted and student schedules are created. More information regarding this process can be found in the re-enrollment checklist and FAQ sheet.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership in the education of your child. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to a member of our re-enrollment support team, listed on the checklist and FAQ sheet. We appreciate your commitment to La Salle, and we look forward to welcoming you back next school year!

Sincerely,

Keenan Kurihara

Parent Association

Welcome To The La Salle Parent Association, Where All Are Welcome!

If you are new to La Salle, or new to the Parent Association, this is the place to get connected and engage. The Parent Association has a mission of Fellowship in Service by supporting the activities of our students, faculty and staff while also providing targeted Parent Education from expert speakers at our general meetings. The Academics, Arts, and Athletics Booster groups also fall under the Parent Association and provide key supportive roles within their respective areas. There is an abundance of volunteer opportunities for parent engagement to help fulfill the annual household service hours requirement. The (2) biggest events the Parent Association champions are the Faculty and Staff Potluck Luncheons, which happen monthly throughout the school year, and, of course, Faculty and Staff Appreciation Week in early May.

Parent Association Meetings: The Parent Association hosts (6) general meetings during the school year, typically the second Tuesday of the given month, from 6:00 to 7:30. Socializing and sustenance is from 6:00 to 6:30, where all in attendance are treated to delicious offerings provided by our amazing Parent Association Hospitality Team. The formal program commences at 6:30, and we officially conclude by 7:30. Those in attendance get the latest and most up-to-date information as to what’s happening on campus, in addition to hearing from an engaging guest speaker. Our general meetings also provide a great opportunity to interact with key members of our faculty and staff in a more casual setting.

Meeting Participation: While attending in-person is preferred, the Parent Association offers a remote ‘webinar’ option for those who are unable to attend in-person but do not want to miss out on the rich content provided at each meeting. Attending in-person qualifies for (2) service hours, and attending remotely will earn (1) service hour.

Below, you’ll find our 2023-2024 meeting dates. Be sure to pay attention to the weekly bulletin preceding each meeting to find out what’s on each meeting’s agenda.
